So, I'm sure you've noticed the lull in posting. Technically I have several posts ready to go (even an awesome guest post from my dear friend Laura) but I've just steered clear of the whole bloggy thing lately. I'm not totally sure why--it has just happened that way. To give you an update though, I'm now considered "full-term" in my pregnancy (full-term being 37-42 weeks) so little miss Bennett is free to grace us with her presence at any point. Not that I'm technically "ready", but who is ever really (and I mean really) prepared for a wee one?
In the meantime, I wanted to share with you some photos from my maternity photo shoot. My friend Christy did an awesome job capturing just what I wanted--Elliott and I around our house and neighborhood. If you follow me on Pinterest, you may have noticed a lot of maternity photos being pinned for inspiration, and I decided I wanted a very suburban feel. Yes, I live super-close to the beach so a beach photo shoot crossed my mind, but I couldn't imagine myself splashing in waves with sheer scarves and such. Pretty, but not very "Tristin". So, here's what I'm calling my suburb-tastic maternity photos.
See my dog in the background? Little did we know he was plotting a picture-ruining but laugh-inducing moment of deuce-dropping. He's classy, that little man. |
This is a "real" moment between Elliott and I. Her arms crossed in defiance and my hands on my hips all "because-I-said-so" like. Yeah, I've told you before that we keep it real. We still do. |
This is the baby in Elliott's belly. His name is Simon. ; ) (It's the name I'd intended to use for a boy.) |
Thanks Christy, for an awesome capture of a cool time in our lives. Oh, and if you want a glimpse of my buddha-tastic big ol' belly, I've saved the best for last. How do our bellies stretch SOOO big and then slim back in? It's simply amazing.
all the luck in the world and thank you for sharing some beautiful pitures! :)

Congrats! Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pics!!! Wishing you much luck with your impending delivery!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos! Especially the black and white of E looking at her belly. So cute!
ReplyDeleteCute cute! Maybe you'll have her while I'm there, then you know you can zip up to Orlando- I am coming from Japan after all ;) lol
ReplyDeleteIt is no wonder you have been gone. Enjoy this awesome time = there will be plenty of time to blog later (well, drop us a line every once in a while so we know you are doing OK).
ReplyDeleteBrian cracks me up! "Here's what I think about it all", haha. Great photos, gal! Who needs beach pics anyway...except maybe one of you boogie boarding. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love these photos so much! You are absolutely beautiful, T! :)
ReplyDeleteCute photos! So I found you on pinterest a while back... Anyway I love your daughters name...my daughters name is Elliott(Elliot is the way we spell it) too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful photos! I LOVE them! You look gorgeous, I LOVE the short 'do, and I love that you kept your maternity shots so realistic. I sometimes get a laugh out of engagements/bridals/maternity pics/family pics that are in some perfect gorgeous location with everything all dreamy and gauzy and airbrushed . . . I don't know, they're always lovely photos, but I guess I'd rather remember how it REALLY was. Prettied up a little with nicer-than-normal outfits and great photography and all, but still very real. That's why I loved our most recent family pictures so much . . . it was a gorgeous location, but it was very representative of where we live right now and the true-blue view from our windows, Forrest was playing with toys/books in half the shots, he was grumpy in the other half or sucking those dang fingers that never ever come out of his mouth, but they were so representative of what our lives are really like day-to-day. Except prettier :-) Anywho, I just LOVE the pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachel. BTW, I liked your last photos, too. So cute. And yeah, I didn't want it to be "too real" and be documented in the pair of yoga sweat pants that I wear almost every day...
DeleteOkay, one last thing. You look great pregnant. Like, really really great. I was so swollen and bloated by this time in my pregnancy . . . it wasn't pretty. You look fantastic and your little belly is so perky and cute (mine was one of those low, droopy, gross ones)!
ReplyDeleteGirrrl, you crack me up. And yeah, my last pregnancy WAS one of those bloated super-thick kinda fat pregnancies, so needless to say, I wasn't exactly excited about documenting with things like photo shoots. This time, I won't lie, I actually feel "cute pregnant". I think the only place my body has changed drastically is in my belly... so, yeah... maybe that sounds conceited, but I like my pregnant body this time around.
DeleteCompletely beautiful pictures! Thanks so much for sharing. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou looks really great and hope you can keeep this forever an denjoy the life with yorus family forever!
